John Merena Obituary
John had been a resident of Texas for over 50 years. In his younger years, John proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1967. John was a baptized Catholic whose laughter and humorous stories will be deeply missed by his many friends and family.
John was preceded in death by his parents Florence and Jacob, brother Richard, as well as his twin brother Jacob.
John leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters Laura Ann Rea, Nora Jane Garcia and husband Tony, Norma Jean Carleton, eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, as well as sisters Ann Marie, Evelyn, and Margaret.
A private family service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with these arrangements.
