Salisbury, MD. Born on July 15, 1952, to Esther and Russell Morcom, John's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, kindness, and thoughtful dedication to family, friends, and community.
John's formative years were spent in Salisbury, where he grew up with his siblings, Carol, Bob, the late Albert, the late Evelyn, and the late Cathy. He was a beloved brother, and his siblings cherished the bond they shared throughout the years. John's education led him to obtain an Associate's Degree from California College, which paved the way for his diverse and successful career.
Professionally, John was a man of many talents. He spent his early years as a Respiratory Therapist before delving into the world of Information Technology. His passion and expertise eventually earned him the role of Director of Respiratory Services, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues for his leadership and innovative approach. John's commitment to his work was evident, and his contributions to the field left a lasting impact on those he worked with. His career was not merely a job but a calling, where he could blend his love of technology with his sincere desire to help others breathe a little easier.
John's life was not solely defined by his professional achievements. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Darlene Morcom, and a loving father to his daughter, Jessica Cook. His family was his pride and joy, and he embraced his role as a father-in-law to Chuck Cook with the same enthusiasm.
