John James Morris Jr., 89, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Wednesday June 12, 2024. Born and raised in Kearny, NJ, John spent time living in Lincoln, NE, Arlington Heights, IL, and Tuscon, AZ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 22 years ago. John was the former Vice President of Administration at Allstate Financial Services, formerly known as Lincoln Benefit Life, in Lincoln NE, and a former fraternity member of Lambda Chi Alpha at the University of Arizona. John enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, playing sports with his boys when they were young, and traveling the world with his wife Carol.
John was predeceased by his parents John James Morris Sr. and Anna Morris.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Carol Morris, children Lynda Ann Morris and husband William Allegra of Putnam, CT, John James Morris III and wife Janet of Tuscon, AZ, William Charles Morris and wife Nadia of Sydney, Australia, Robert Christian Morris and wife Brandi of Chicago, IL, grandchildren Jeffrey Morris and wife Melissa Goodrich, Katherine Morris and husband Travis Harty, Christopher Morris, Stephen Morris, step-grandchildren Madeleine Stoll and Max Stoll, great-grandson Julian Harty and another on the way, and second-cousin Patricia Allen.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2024 from 2-4pm and again from 7-9pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Burial will be private. A memorial service will be held in Tucson, AZ at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation Support the Parkinson's Foundation - Parkinson's Foundation (convio.net) or The Michael J. Fox Foundation Donate to The Michael J. Fox Foundation (michaeljfox.org).
