John Edgar Moss

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. John Edgar Moss, 73, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Billy Taylor officiating.   Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.

 

Mr. Moss was born on June 14, 1950, in Delhi, LA and passed away on April 14, 2024, in West Monroe, LA.  He had many jobs throughout his lifetime.  As a teenager he worked for Dowdy Grocery and for many years he worked for Boyte Enterprises and also Wye Electric.  John loved working in his yard, gardening, building, and yard work.  He would help anyone in need at any time.  He cherished and loved all his friends from Ed’s and enjoyed sitting and drinking a Coke or water and just hanging out talking.  John is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Janie Moss and his brother-in-law, David Harbor.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Mary Harbor, Sharon Hardwick and husband, Les, and Mike Moss and wife, Verna; his fur baby, Buttercup; nephews, Brandon, Justin, Shelby, Mason, and Fletcher; nieces, Pam, Brandy, Lydia and Addison.

 

Pallbearers will be Ben Cumnock, Frank Morris, Danny Evans, Wayne McCarty, Roy Howard, and Woody Woodard.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Will Sam, and Kenneth Stennett.

 

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
