It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John P. Mousel, age 83, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. John passed away peacefully on September 15, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19th, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, Dubuque, IA, with a wake service to be held at 3:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at St. Joseph The Worker, Dubuque, IA, with Fr. Brian Dellaert officiating. Entombment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. To leave condolences, please visit www.leonardfuneralhome.com

John was a Tap dancer with me at the Lex Patton dance studio in Mason City 1952. Also attended St. Joseph grade and HS school in MC and 1960 graduated together. Also were also attendees of ISU and both of us worked for John Deere.
RIP John.
