John Joseph Mundinger Jr.

John J. Mundinger Jr., of High Ridge, Missouri, passed away on Saturday October 4, 2025 knowing he was loved. Born March 4, 1959 in St. Louis, John lived a full and vibrant life marked by hard work, humor, and a deep love for his family and friends.
John was the beloved son of the late John Joseph Mundinger Sr. and Patricia Ann (Mullaney) Mundinger. He was the devoted husband of Denise Mundinger the two were married on December 5, 2005, in Las Vegas, creating a partnership built on laughter, strength, and shared adventures.
A proud roofer by trade, John both taught and worked alongside his late son, Johnny. John found purpose and comradery in his work as a part of the roofers Union and maintained a membership with the Elks lodge. He loved telling stories-especially about hunting-and his animated tales could fill a room with laughter.
John's greatest joy came from time spent outdoors and with the people he loved. He enjoyed music specifically classic rock, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his dogs. Friends and family will remember his kind heart, sense of humor, and the way he brought people together.
He is preceded in death by his children, John Joseph Mundinger III and Megan Michelle Diekman. John or Pops to many, cherished by his grandchildren, Victoria Carter, Lily Mundinger, and John Mundinger IV, and a proud great-grandfather to Dean Michael Joseph and Catherine Carter.
He is also survived by his siblings, Terry Mundinger, Jeanne (the late Speedy) Aldridge, Michael Mundinger, and Patty Mundinger.
A memorial visitations will be held Thursday October 16, 2025 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. at Chapel Hill Mortuary at 6300 Hwy 30, in Cedar Hill, Missouri. Memorial Service will be Thursday October 16, 2025, at 2:00 P.M.
John will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his laughter, his stories, and the love he shared with everyone who knew him.
