John Edward Niehoff, 86, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the memorial mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Olive Branch, MS. Fr. Hendrik Ardianto, SCJ will officiate.
John was born on November 26, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. John served his country honorably in the United States Army. He worked as a manager in the post office. He was married to the love of his life, Maxine, for 58 years. John always put family first and especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren. He loved to travel and took many vacations with his family. John was also a handyman, a woodworker, and he could fix anything. John was very loved and will be missed greatly.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Louise Niehoff and Elmer Niehoff, and brother, James Niehoff.
John is survived by his wife, Maxine Niehoff of Olive Branch; daughters, Tatia Niehoff of Mississippi, Tarron Durocher (Richard) of Hendersonville, TN, Wendy Seely (Jonathan) of Coldwater, MS, Gail Hartoin (Jim) of Fairfield, OH; son, Rick Niehoff (Kayse) of Clarksville, GA; sister, Diane Levin (Jerry) of Cincinnati, OH; granddaughters, Abigail Seely of Coldwater, Haley Durocher of Nashville, TN, Ash Slade (Jean) of West Chester, OH; and grandsons, Noah Seely of Coldwater, Jonah Seely of Coldwater, Conner Durocher of Hendersonville, Jonathan Niehoff of Iowa, Douglas Skoog of Iowa, and Brad Hartoin of Cincinnati.
In honor of John Niehoff's service to our country, the flag of the United States Army will be flown at Coleman Funeral Home Olive Branch the day of his services.
In lieu of traditional flowers, donations may be made in his name to Queen of Peace Catholic Church (http://qopcc.com/).
