John Allen O'Quinn, age 79, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud Air Force veteran, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 79. Born and raised in Erwin, North Carolina, John lived a life marked by dedication, a passion for the outdoors, and a wonderful sense of humor.

John dedicated many years of his career to Erwin Mills before retiring from Harnett County Schools. A true patriot, he proudly served his country as an Air Force Vietnam veteran, a period of his life that shaped his unwavering strength and commitment.

Beyond his professional life and military service, John was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding solace and joy in nature's embrace. He also harbored a deep passion for aviation. Those who knew John will fondly remember his distinctive humor, which brought laughter and light to countless gatherings. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Connie Lee O'Quinn; his parents, Dee and Hazel O'Quinn; his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Grace Lee; and his sister-in-law, Sharon Pollard.

John's legacy lives on through his loving daughter, Robin O'Quinn Mulcahy, and her husband, Mike. He was a devoted grandfather to Daniel Mulcahy and a truly precious great-grandfather to John Cody Mulcahy, who brought immense joy to his later years, brother and sister in law Pat and Barbara Cameron.

A visitation will be held at the Dunn Funeral Home on Monday evening, July 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Dunn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at the Erwin Memorial Park Cemetery.
