She was born on January 1, 1944 in Johnston County to the late Parlia B. Barefoot and Opal Turnage Barefoot.
She is also preceded in death by her sister, Janice Barefoot Wilkins.
Patricia enjoyed traveling, reading, and being outside. She especially enjoyed doing yard work and visiting places on the farm and the lake. Her happy place was the beach, listening to the waves and the peaceful atmosphere. She loved looking for beach glass and shells. She loved spending time with her friends and her family.
She is survived and loved by her sons, Timothy Dorman (Kristie) and Michael Dorman (Melony) ; grandchildren, Josh Dorman (Christina), Emily Dorman, and Ashton Byrd; great-grandchildren, Cenoa Byrd and Henry Byrd.
A special thank you to Stephanie, we are so grateful for everything you have done for her. She loved you so much and we could not have done it without you.
She was loved by many and she will be greatly missed.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 11:00 AM until Noon at Dunn Funeral Home of Erwin. Her funeral service will be held immediately after at Noon.
She will be laid to rest at Erwin Memorial Park.
