John Oliva Obituary
Born Monday, February 23, 1970 in Staten Island, New York, John was the son of the late Thomas and Judith Oliva.
John was raised on Staten Island, and was a graduate of Monsignor Farrell High School. After High School John continued his education earning his Bachelors in Business from St. John's University.
John would begin a long career in finance, working as a stock broker. He would continue working on Wall Street until he retired, working most recently for ADP.
John was a huge fan of NY Sports, specifically, the NY Jets, NY Mets, and NY Rangers. John also enjoyed traveling. John had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed a hand. John was known as the life of the party and loved singing Karaoke. He was a loving and caring man who will be missed by all those that love him.
John was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Judith.
John is survived by his loving brother, Thomas and his wife Karen, by his cousins, Donna and Anna, by his close friends, Irv and Jeannette, and by his two Godsons.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM on Friday at Saint Ambrose located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857.
The family asks that donations in John's memory are made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. www.stjude.org/donate
