John C. Pfahl

John C. Pfahl, 91, beloved dad, grandfather, and husband passed away on Friday January 27, 2025. John was deeply dedicated to his family circle, a selfless provider and role model, who took exceptional joy in caring for his grandchildren. He always had a great sense of humor in even the most dire of circumstances, and his kind thoughtful practical spontaneous acts of help and service will always be remembered with gratitude, love, and a smile.
John was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, served four years in the United States Army, and worked in Tool & Die for 50 years. He enjoyed many years of working outside on the family Christmas Tree farm that he and his wife founded in 1970, as well as greeting the loyal customers each year during the holidays. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Pfahl, his mother Mary Pfahl, his father Carl Pfahl, his sister Margaret Pfahl, and his brothers Carl Pfahl and Richard Pfahl.
He is survived by his daughter Margaret Slinker and his grandaughter Savannah, and his son Douglas Pfahl and his grandson Brendan Pfahl and grandaughter Jennifer Pfahl.
He is greatly loved and will be greatly missed. He leaves behind a legacy of fond memories, an example of family loyalty and work ethic, and his enduring connection to his grandchildren.
