New Comer Cremations & Funerals - Eastside LocationJohn Pinkoski, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Born on September 8, 1942, in the same city, John filled his years with love, laughter, and cherished moments that will forever be a part of those who knew him.
John was a warm-hearted individual who took great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He particularly loved spending time fishing with the boys, creating memories that would carry on through generations. His laughter could light up a room, and his kind spirit touched the lives of everyone who crossed his path.
His family meant the world to him, and he is survived by his treasured daughter Lisa Walker, and his two loving sons, John Pinkoski and Jeff Pinkoski. John also took immense joy in the company of his granddaughter, Arianna Walker, whose bright smile reflected the love he instilled in her through their special moments spent together. He leaves behind many sisters and brothers, all of whom shared in the joy and warmth he brought into their lives.
John was preceded in death by the love of his life, Vi, and his beloved parents, Francis Joseph and Jane Lavissa Mac Pinkoski. Their guidance and love shaped him into the caring man that he became—a true testament to the influence of family bonds.
A graveside service to honor John’s life will be held on October 18, 2025, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, New York. Family and friends will gather to celebrate the beautiful legacy he has left behind, to share stories, and to remember the man who meant so much to so many.
As we reflect on John's life, we are reminded of the indelible mark he made in our hearts—a legacy that will continue to shine brightly through the love he shared with his family and friends.
