John Powell, Jr. Obituary
Funeral services celebrating the life of John Robert Powell Jr., 64, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana with Reverend Richard Tull officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
John was born on October 26, 1961, in Montgomery, Texas to John Robert Powell, Sr. and Evelyn JoAnn Hunt and passed away December 3, 2025, in Mansfield, Louisiana.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and John Robert Powell, Sr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Susan Powell; brothers, Alvin Powell (Jennifer); brothers-in-law, Bryan Melton (Teresa), Richard Melton (Sheilah); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honoring John as pallbearers will be John Ebarb, Steve Melton, Todd Kreamer, Andy Long, Brian Temple, Chad Bowen and Bruce Eaves.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Barry Dale Rambin and Bubba English.
