John Reilly Obituary
Age 81, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 24, 2021. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio the son of the late William and Marion Reilly. John attended Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio. He went on to further his education and received a Bachelors Degree from Youngstown State University and a Masters Degree in History from the University of Idaho.
John proudly served his country during the Viet Nam War as a Major in the US Army.
He served as Assistant Director at Old World Wisconsin for 33 years.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his aunt Florence Lynch, his son Sean Reilly, cousins Marianne Baker, Gretta Jones, Patricia Noderer and his nephew Timothy Barrett.
John was the beloved husband of Kathleen "Kay" (nee Wussow) for over 36 years. Dear father of Aaron (Katie) Persinger, Sarah (Aaron) Schultz and Rebecca Reilly. Cherished grandpa of Olivia Persinger, Lindsey Persinger, Abigail (Keenan) O'Conner, Logan Schultz, Elijah Schultz and Aidan Thiem. He is further survived by his cousin Rick Noderer and nephew Rhyan Jones.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 3 PM until the time of service at 5 PM at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha. Military honors will follow the service. Private interment at a later date at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
