I had the pleasure of working with John at W & O Supply many years ago. The job interview, held at Lester's diner, went like this :
" Well I have 2 positions available - 1 is inside sales and stuck at a desk, the other is outside sales and you have free roam and really only work 2-3 days a week hopping on and off cruise ships, but it does involve weekends". Well that was a no brainer, and hence my cruise ship work began. We became fast friends, lunching often at Lil Red's BBQ, going out for drinks on the strip and at The Elbo Room, and we even journeyed to Key West and Daytona a couple of times. We have truly lost " one of the good ones" and he will be sorely missed. Phil Smallcorn June 03/ 2025

We have known John for 25 years. He is like a brother to me. Some of his favorite places--Lester's Diner and Peter Pan. He would amaze me with the miles and miles he would ride on his bike--everywhere. And Mozart, his grey Russian Blue cat loved him. Mozart is still with us and it's like John is still with us when he's on the couch with us...always a live memory. We knew when John was around, the ironing board was out. John, very proper, would make sure his shirts were ironed just so. A business entrepreneur that would analyze the economics and demographics and loved talking about it. He loved his work and it gave him purpose. And ethics, to the max. I am so glad we were able to share a part of John's life. He is a role model of a true gentleman and assertive businessman. Most of all, John will be missed. I love my "brother".
