BRANDON:
John Stephen Rynne, age 75, passed away September 13, 2025, at his home in Brandon.
John was born in Waltham, MA, on June 16, 1950. He was the son of John and Mary Rynne. He received his early education at Saint Mary's in Lynn, MA. Following his high school graduation he earned his degree from Salem State University. John began his working career with the Social Security Administration in the Boston area. He and his family moved to Vermont in 1989. He continued working at the Rutland and Burlington Social Security offices. He also served as the union president for the New England area. He retired in 2010 as the regional manager for the Social Security Administration, following 35 years of service.
John enjoyed spending his days out on the porch with his dog Nugget, watching the birds. He always looked forward to Sunday dinners with the family. He also loved watching his Boston sports teams (especially the Patriots), and was an avid fan of classic rock music.
Surviving is his wife; Kristine D. Rynne; whom he married June 26, 1987; four sons; Matthew, Stephen, Timothy, and Sean. Also, a brother Richard Rynne and a sister; Maureen Rynne of Saugus, MA.
A private graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date, in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; Brandon Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Brandon, VT 05733.
