John Sargis, a resident of Wappingers Falls of 4 years, and previously of North Carolina, Yorktown Heights, and Yonkers, died on January 10, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 84.
John was born in Yonkers on February 3, 1939, to the late John and June (Zackett) Sargis.
On May 28, 1960, John married the love of his life, Elizabeth (Charlesworth) in Greenwich Connecticut. Elizabeth predeceased John in (year). John was also predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Sargis and his sister, Dolores Graziano.
John was a construction worker for many years in New York City. He was a member of the Local 456, specializing in pier and bridge construction. He went on to own and operate the Annsville Circle Station in Cortlandt, New York. John also painted houses and completed home improvements.
In his leisure time, John loved to travel and spend time on the ocean, boating and fishing.
John leaves behind his son, John C. Sargis and his wife, Ana Lucia; his grandchildren, Nicole (Chris), John (Michelle), Mark, Samanatha (Sean), Jason (Jessica), Daniela, Ricky, and Sean; and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Elise, Savannah, and Skylar.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. 1089 Main Street Fishkill, New York 12524.
