John Schell Obituary
John Schell, 68 of East Windsor, NJ, passed away on October 17, 2025. Born in Astoria, NY, he resided in Flushing, NY prior to moving to East Windsor, NJ. John worked as a corporate accountant for Prudential Mutual Funds in Woodbridge prior to retiring, and after as a car salesman for Warnock Automotive in East Hanover. John was the son of the late John and Dorothy Schell. He is survived by his wife Rosanne Schell, his son John Louis Schell, his sister Debbie Gaines and her husband Michael and brother-in-law Rick Miller. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Joan Miller.
John will be remembered for his love of black and white movies, music, and his sense of humor. His Christmas village and haunted houses showed his creativity and love of family and holidays.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday October 21, 2025, from 10 AM-12 noon. A funeral service will be celebrated at 12 noon at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association or St. Jude’s.

I grew up with Mr. Schells son and remember Mr. Schell being such an amazing person. Such a funny, awesome, kind human to absolutely everyone. From little kids, I remember his sweet self. He will be dearly missed. My condolences goes out to his family.

The times I spent with his son John and Mr.Schell were great. Always a welcoming and loving man. Always very supportive of everyone he meets. I have nothing but good memories of him. He was truly one of a kind and the epitome of love always. My heart goes out to Mrs.Schell and John, may you always know that he is always forever with you, and always loves you. Your family will be in my prayers and I wish nothing but the best, and lots of love for you guys on this next chapter of your lives. May your hearts find peace in him now resting in comfort and may you get security from knowing he´s okay.

Mr. Schell made the neighborhood such a fun place to grow up - from his amazing Halloween decorations to the zip line that every kid thought was the coolest thing ever. He was always so kind and welcoming. He´ll be greatly missed - Claire Anders
