John Schlichter Obituary
He is survived by his common law wife, Maurita Whittaker; their 13 year old daughter, Kyley; his sister, Angel Kimple; his niece, Cassie Kennedy; and his Mother, Shirley Schlichter.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Schlichter III.
John performed carpentry in the workforce for most of his life and after surviving a pulmonary embolism worked part time as the maintenance supervisor at the American Legion in Chambersburg.
He enjoyed all sports especially football and was a huge Steelers and Georgia Bulldogs fan. John loved all animals especially dogs and always owned a German Shepherd, his favorite breed. John was a very loving and devoted father who shared a special bond with his daughter. He is and will be forever missed.
Services will be private and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

My sincerest condolences to John's beloved family: Angel, Aunt Sally, Cassie, David, Debbie and his dog.
Twenty years, a lifetime of memories spent loving one another. I pray you are at peace, give kisses and love to all our furbabies we raised, over the two decades we lived as a happy family.
You were such a loving Daddy to all of our furkids: Madi, Sadie, Sasha and Silvie. I will forever love and miss you all so very much, Until we meet again....

I grew up with John. As kids we would go on tubes down the creek, swimming at the public pool, and high school football games together. I have many good memories of him and he will be missed. My condolences to his family and love ones. Darlene
