John Randy Schramm Jr.

John Randy Schramm, Jr. of Panama City Beach, FL passed away unexpectedly Friday,
April 4, 2025 at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Miramar Beach at the age of 47.
John was born April 17, 1977 in Albany, GA, the son of John Randy Schramm, Sr. and Jo
Marshall Williamson. He was a graduate of Terrell Academy in Dawson, GA in 1995. John began working
for the Sherwin Williams Company at the age of 18 and remained with the Company for
decades, holding various management and sales roles until eventually retiring as the Commercial
Sales Representative for the Florida Panhandle District last year. It was in Panama City Beach
that John met Erin Yarbrough, whom he would later marry in 2016. The two were crazy for one
another and John became the stepfather to Lucy whom he utterly adored. John and Erin
welcomed their daughter Sarah one day before their first anniversary in 2017.
John was an avid outdoorsman and a man's man, with a passion for hunting, fishing,
canoeing, golfing and motorcycle riding. He shared many joyful moments cheering on his
beloved Georgia Bulldogs, even in a house divided where Erin rooted for her Mississippi State
Bulldogs. On game night when UGA and MSU faced off, they lovingly agreed to cheer from
different places. John was also passionate about helping others, particularly veterans. Those that
knew him well, knew that he would gladly give the shirt off of his own back for someone in
need. He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church when under the leadership of
Rev. John Blount.
John was the beloved son of John and Dianne Schramm of Dawson, GA and Jo and Larry
Williamson of Bonifay, FL. He is survived by his loving wife, Erin, and their two daughters,
Lucy Dare (11) and Sarah Schramm (7) and his sister Kim.
John also leaves behind family members Butch and Beth Yarbrough of Bainbridge, GA;
Ansley and Mendy Yarbrough of Bainbridge; Andy Spivey (wife Kim) of Blackshear, GA;
nephew Bolton Yarbrough; nieces Claire Spivey, Lily Spivey, Ruth Yarbrough, and Ali Roberts;
numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and his beloved cats, Dean, Wendy and Friday.
A visitation will be held at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemeteries on Tuesday, April 8, 2025
from 5-7pm CST.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1pm EST at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Shellman, GA with Rev. John Blount officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service for a reception at the church.
