John Joseph Schweger, 74, of Clinton, WI, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in Alden Meadow Park, Clinton, WI.
He was born July 6, 1950 in Oak Park, IL, the son of John Charles and Joan June (Steinmiller) Schweger. John was a graduate of York High School in Elmhurst, IL.
John was a truck driver for 15 years traveling all over the United States. He was known as the "Birdman" for traveling with his bird, Dado and his beloved dog, Crockett. John loved living the "cowboy" lifestyle, camping, horseback riding, bull riding and the rodeo environment. He enjoyed meeting people and telling stories, wood carving Santas and birds, watching movies, taking pictures, listening to music, feeding the birds, horses and nature. John had fond memories and a deep love for his grandparents, Charles and Frances Schweger.
Survivors include his children, Rebecca "Becky" Schweger and Scott Joseph Baehr; siblings, Russell T. (Beth) Schweger, Nancy M. Weldon and Cathy (Stu) Buck; cousin, Janet Steinmiller; cousins from the Styck family; numerous nieces, nephews, other cousins, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Charles "Chuck" and Frances Schweger; his parents, John C. and Joan J. Schweger; brother, Scott C. Schweger; aunts and uncles and cousin, Paul Steinmiller.
There will be no services for John.
