It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Edward Seaver, a beloved father, brother, and grandfather, who left us on September 21, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on May 18, 1963, John spent over 25 years proudly serving in the United States Army, displaying unwavering commitment and exemplifying service and dedication.
A resident of Berkley Springs, WV, John cherished the connections he made through his military service and enjoyed the camaraderie at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), where he found friendships and shared laughter. His greatest joys came from spending time with his family, especially his precious grandchildren, Vivian and Finnick, who brought immeasurable happiness to his life.
John is survived by his beloved daughter, Amber Altvater; his sisters, Theresa Arches, Elizabeth Barrow, and Angelina Lynch; and his brothers, Christopher Seaver and Mark Seaver. His loving legacy will continue to be felt by all who knew him.
John was preceded in death by: his parents, William Seaver and Joan (Breheny) Seaver; sister, Deborah Dorman; and brother, William Seaver.
In honor of John's life, a public viewing will be held at Crouch Funeral Home P.A., 127 S Main Street, North East, MD, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
