John T. Seiter

John Thomas Seiter, age 81, of Sanford, MI, went home to be with the Lord on October 25, 2025. He was born on January 25, 1944 in Culver City, CA to Anton Thomas Seiter and Anna Gustava (Saukko) Seiter.
John lived a life loving his Savior, his family, and his neighbor. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, he touched countless lives with his kindness, humor, and passionate devotion to disciplining believers. He was a faithful member of Sunrise Church of Midland, where he found joy in worship, fellowship, and serving others.
Throughout his life, John exemplified Christ's love in all that he did. Whether through a word of encouragement, a helping hand, or a quiet prayer, he reflected Christ's love to everyone he met.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Paulette Seiter; his children, Johanna (Paul) Preston, Susannah (Scott) Earnheart, and John-Paul Seiter; his grandchildren Sydnee Earnheart, Shaylee Earnheart, and Slade Earnheart, and his sister Mary Ann (Dick) Huesby; and many dear friends and extended family members. John was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Anna Seiter.
A celebration of John's life will be held on Friday, November 7 at 11:00AM at Sunrise Church of Midland, with Pastor Philip Miles officiating. A time of visitation will occur earlier that morning from 9:00AM - 10:30AM. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate a life devoted to Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Sunrise Church of Midland, Benevolence Fund in John's honor.
