John Seiwert, 69, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 at his home southwest of Conway Springs, Kansas.

Rosary at 10:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs, Kansas. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conway Springs.

Charles John Seiwert was born November 29, 1956 to Clarence Joseph Seiwert and Agnes Elizabeth (Peitz) Seiwert. He grew up on the family farm southwest of Conway Springs. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Conway Springs public schools. He graduated from Conway Springs High School with the class of 1974.

John was united in marriage to JoElla Brungardt on September 15, 1979 at Conway Springs, Kansas. They made their home on the family farm southwest of Conway Springs where they raised their family of two daughters. JoElla passed away June 23, 2005.

John later married Vicky (Swope) Rowden on May 20, 2006 at Wichita, Kansas and was blessed with the addition of a son, Jesse, into his life.

John was a farmer all his life. He was also the Transportation Supervisor for USD #356 in Conway Springs for 42 years.

John was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs, Kansas.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister Evelyn Jennings.

John is survived by his family: Jesse Rowden, Katie Casner, Maggie Seiwert all of Wichita, Kansas; five sisters: Joyce Pinkley and Mary McNutt both of Wichita, Kansas; Ruth Redding of Lee's Summit, Missouri; Jan Carter of Olathe, Kansas; Debbie Halsey of Phoenix, Arizona and several grandchildren.

Since John's last words, in response to his blue heeler barking were "That's my dog, he's fat" lets also mention his beloved dog Wilson and a number of other relatives and many friends.

A memorial has been established to the St Joseph Altar Society.
