John E shedlock

John E. Shedlock Jr., devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at 11:05 am at Riverside Community Hospital in California. He was 65 years old.
Born on April 7, 1960, in Weirton, John's life was marked by compassion, humility, and unwavering faith. He took deep pride in his children and grandchildren, finding joy in sharing God's word, especially with his son. His love for God shaped every part of his life, and he lived to serve others.
Following a factory accident while residing in California, John worked as a private investigator.
John is survived by his beloved children, Cynthia Quiroz of Moreno Valley, CA., Crystal Shedlock of Riverside, CA., and John Shedlock of Las Vegas, NV. He was a proud grandfather to Elena Tun, Emily Sky Cancino, Maya Morales, Bella Morales, and Walker Uriah Shedlock.
He is also remembered by his cherished family members: Marilyn Robinson of Wheeling, Diana (Robert) Kelly of Coraopolis, PA., his twin sister Joan DiGregorio of Pittsburgh, Rose Mader of Weirton, Linda Warrick, and Sandra Personette.
He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Lucille Fields Shedlock (2010), Father John Shedlock (1983), sister Deanna Shedlock (1959), brother Ronald L. Pittman (2024), and brother-in-law, Bernard Dean DiGregorio (2004).
John dedicated much of his life to ministry work, reaching out to those struggling with addiction and hopelessness. His relationship with the Lord began when he was just eleven years old. He was baptized at Cove Presbyterian Church in 1971, molding his life in God's image.
Through God's direction, John's gentle, humble spirit, and loving heart made a difference in the lives of many.
Friends may visit John's family on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 1 pm until the time of his 2 pm Memorial Service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, 26062.
Elder Roger Criss will officiate.
He will be laid to rest alongside his mother at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Weirton, his beloved childhood home.
John leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and selfless service.
He will be deeply missed, but his light lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
An outstanding man of the utmost integrity who has left his lifetime of wisdom and spiritual lessons with those who have known him most.
