John "Jack" William Sheehy passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 81. Jack
was the beloved Husband of 60 years and best friend to Celeste Sheehy (nee Sharp). Devoted
Father of Michele "Shelly" Troll (William) and John M. Sheehy (Amy). Loving Grandfather of Eric
Troll (Meredith), Heidi Wells (Chris), John-Michael Sheehy (Danielle), Riley Phelan (Josh), Evan
Troll and Hannah Troll. Adoring Great-Grandfather to Nevaeh, Lacey, and Atticus. Dear Brother
to Rose, Patrick, Daniel, and Virginia. Jack was loved by numerous extended family members.
and was preceded in death by his father, John J. Sheehy and Mother Virginia Sheehy (nee
Kemper).
Jack was born on November 21, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and grew up in Covington,
Kentucky. He was a Boy Scout and developed an early love of the outdoors. Jack was
employed for almost 40 years by Heekin Can/Ball Corporation, where he excelled in the Sales
Department. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger.
Jack loved motorsports, was an avid Cincinnati sports fan, and seldom missed a Notre
Dame football game. He was proud of his Irish heritage, loved St. Patrick's Day, and will forever
be remembered for enjoying a cold beer at home in his "Florida" room. Jack thoroughly enjoyed
retirement and spent many days taking long walks with his wife, Celeste. He was always
"tinkering" around at home and loved spending time with his Grandchildren. He had the gift of
"gab" and was quite the storyteller. Jack loved history, watching hummingbirds, and entertaining
guests and family. He was loved and will be missed by all.
