John F. Sheridan
Mr. John Sheridan passed away on Wednesday evening at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was ninety-three years old.
Mr. Sheridan was born and raised in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, the youngest of seven children. He graduated high school then entered the United States Airforce. He served our country faithfully as a gunner on B-52 bombers in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He then worked in Chicago and Detroit for a short time before relocating to Jamesburg where he lived for over twenty-seven years. During that time, he was employed by Delco Battery in New Brunswick. He retired after nearly thirty years of service to the company.
Mr. Sheridan moved to North Brunswick about five years ago and was an active parishioner of St. Augustine Canterbury Church in Kendall Park. He was third degree Knight of Columbus and a very talented musician. He also was a gifted artist. Mr. Sheridan was an aviation enthusiast and even built and flew his own plane.
He was predeceased by his siblings, James, Ambrose, Eugene, Walter Jr., Thomas and Amelia.
He is survived by his nephews Gerald Boyer and his wife Mary and Harold Boyer and his wife Linda along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be held on Thursday May 8, 2025, from 9 AM – 10:30 at Gleason Funeral Home of North Brunswick followed by a 11 AM funeral mass at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church. Graveside services will follow at Brig, Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran Cemetery in Wrightstown.
