John Shetley Obituary

John was born September 21, 1940 in Madison County to the late William Roy Shetley and Dora Violet Wyatt Shetley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Bernice Inez Waldroup Shetley, brothers, Horace Shetley, Ronald Shetley and Louis Shetley, and his sister, Betty Waldroup.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, James Michael Shetley (Amy), three grandchildren, Amber Shetley, Hannah Lane (Sammy), and Ethan Shetley, two great grandchildren, Reagan Shetley and Harper Lane, and his brother, James Shetley.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00 am in the chapel at Madison Funeral Services with Reverend Jerry Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at Ebbs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 am at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service.
