John S. Smatusik III

JOHN S. SMATUSIK, III, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on his 72nd birthday, Sunday, October 26, 2025, at home, in the loving care of his sister. He was born in Paul Kimball Hospital in Lakewood, NJ, October 26, 1953.
John spent 32 years employed as a mechanic and laborer for Jackson Township Public Works Department in Jackson, NJ. Later, he also became a truck driver working for Bil-Jim Construction Co., also in Jackson.
For the past 36 years he has found fulfillment and friendship while helping others. He will be missed and cherished, always, by the many lives he touched.
He was predeceased by his parents, John S. Jr. and Florence Smatusik; his sister, Barbara Gargiule; his brother-in-law, Samual DePasquale; and his nephew's daughter, Carrie Depasquale. John is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Clayton; his son-in-law, Bryan Clayton; his 2 grandchildren William and Lillian; his sister, Karen DePasquale; his nephew, Kenneth DePasquale; and his niece, Kimberly Depasquale-Leathers, her husband Cory Leathers, their daughter Alyssa and her fiancé, Ryan.
