John C. Stanley Sr.

John C. Stanley., Sr., 81, of Deerfield, NH, passed away Tuesday November 4, 2025, in Villa Crest Healthcare in Manchester, NH. He was born on January 1, 1944, in Milton, MA, and he was the son of the late Lewis and Doris (Marchant) Stanley. John had been a resident of NH since 1967, having lived in Milton and Randolph, MA prior. He was a custodian for the Derry School District for over 28 years. John enjoyed golf, bowling, country music, and Western TV Shows. John was also an avid New England sports fan for the Red Sox and the Bruins and he also loved his Patriots every Sunday.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Mary Ann (Medairos) Stanley, two sons, Joseph Stanley and wife Maria and John Stanley and partner Lynn; one daughter, Deborah Murray and husband Keith; nine grandchildren, Joseph, Hayden, Hunter, Hadlea, Zachary, Abigail, Anthony, Savanah, and Delaney; two brothers, Lewis Stanley and George Stanley; one sister, Loretta Hamilton; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Friday November 7, 2025, from 2 – 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services will begin at 4pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gilbert H. Hood Middle School Athletic Programs, c/o Derry Superintendent's Office, 18 South Main Street, Derry, NH 03038.
