Wonderful husband of Karen Sterbenz. Loving father of John Sterbenz (Craig Kuras), Scott (Michelle) Sterbenz and Christopher Sterbenz. Dearest grandfather of Matthew and Lance. Preceded in death by parents Edward and Mathilde Sterbenz.

I worked with John on the Apollo program at the Kennedy Space Center back in the late 1960's and reconnected with him a few years ago. We had fun remembering those great times we had together helping to put a man on the Moon. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I bet John, much younger and healthier, is already playing tennis in Heaven with the angels. Wait till he surprises them with his underhand trick serve!
I hope his family knows how respected he was by all his fellow tennis players. He will be missed.
