Obituary of Phyllis Ann Parrett
Phyllis Ann Parrett, age 86, of Allen Park, Michigan, passed away on October 3rd, 2025.
She was born on May 26th, 1939, in Watson Twp, Allegan, Michigan. Phyllis was married to the late Lloyd Parrett, and together they raised three children: Lloydy (deceased), Ken (Jennifer), and Bob (Annette). She was a proud grandmother to Anthony (Kayley), Nick, Jake (Annie), and Tyler, and was joyfully awaiting the arrival of her first great-grandchild early next year.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard "Jim" McLaughlin (the late Sandra), and is survived by her sister, Norma Shipley (the late Cliff).
Phyllis was a devoted employee of the Renkim Corporation for well over 20 years. She was a strong, independent woman, and a great mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She loved many things: Family trips throughout Michigan, visiting her sister Norma's farm in Kalamazoo, the raviolis from Pia's (her favorite Italian restaurant).
But one of her greatest joys later in life was spending time at Greenfield Village and The Henry Ford Museum. As a longtime member, she cherished countless memories there, learning and exploring with family and friends.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her gentle spirit, and the warmth she shared with all who knew her.
