CENTERVILLE, IN– Carl L. Parrett, age 78, of Centerville, Indiana, died Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Reid Health.
Born December 4, 1946, in Richmond, Indiana, to Charles Edd and Mary Elizabeth Preston Parrett, Carl lived most of his life in this area. He was a 1965 graduate of Richmond High School and attended Ivy Tech. Carl proudly served in the U. S. Army as a combat veteran during the Vietnam war. He worked at Wayne Works and various other factories. Carl was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville and the Connersville Bass Club. He enjoyed bass fishing and spending time with family.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Beth (Brian Breen) Parrett, of Liberty, Indiana; son, Carl L. (Cleda) Parrett II, of Mishawaka, Indiana; grandchildren, Jarrod Flowers, Jessica Alexander, and Elizabeth Parrett; great grandchildren, Kameryn, Torrence, Isabella, Aryanna, Adleigh, and Aleigha; sister in law and brother in law, Barbara and Owen Ramsey; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Darlene Parrett, who died June 11, 2020; parents; and 17 siblings.
Visitation for Carl L. Parrett will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.m. Monday, June 23, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor James Girdley officiating. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Wayne County Honor Guard.
