EATON, Ohio – Ralph David Ford, age 91, of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Hospice of Hamilton in Hamilton, Ohio.
Born November 24, 1933, in Gibson County, Indiana, to Ralph D. and Charlotte Williams Ford, Ralph David lived in this area most of his life. He was a 1951 graduate of Richmond High School and served in the United States Air Force. Ralph David married Linda Jane Hartzler Ford on June 12, 1955, she passed on September 3, 2019. He managed several Kroger Supermarkets, Ford's Supermarket in Cloverdale, Indiana and Ford's Supermarket in Centerville, Indiana. Ralph David enjoyed camping, boating, and puzzles. He was a member of Central United Methodist.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra Ford; sons, David (Pamela) Ford and Douglas (Jean) Ford; grandchildren, Brenton, Megan, Kara, Tiffany, Amanda, Mitch, and Courtney; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Huston and Kathy Ridge; brother, Philip Ford; nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ford; parents; daughter, Carol D. Ford; and sister, Carolyn Mertz.
Ralph David's wishes were for his remains to be laid to rest with his wife Linda, at Earlham Memorial Mausoleum. There will be no service. A private graveside prayer is planned for the immediate family at a date not yet determined. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond
