Linda Diane Sterbenz, 72, of Keytesville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. She was born on February 19, 1953, in Fairbanks, Alaska, the daughter of Norman J. Soland and Ann (Coolidge) Soland. Linda was a 1971 graduate of Antioch Community High School in Antioch, Illinois. On September 14, 1974, she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Sterbenz in Spring Grove, Illinois. They shared more than fifty years together. Linda worked as a trainer in telecommunications for many years, where she was respected for her knowledge and patience in helping others learn and grow. Outside of work, she found joy in gardening, being outdoors, swimming, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Sterbenz of the home; three children, Eric (Alexis) Sterbenz of Spring Grove, IL, Melissa (Kory) Mossoni of Broomfield, CO, and Jake Sterbenz of Keytesville, MO; three granddaughters, Adelyn, Blakely, and Lucianna; six brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman J. Soland. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Saint Ignatius Episcopal Church in Antioch, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marceline Pool (please make check to to Downtown Marceline).
