John Canaan Temple, Jr, age 62 of Farragut, went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2022 at home with his beloved family at his side. John was a faithful member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. He graduated from University of Tennessee, where he is a Sigma Chi alumni. He was also a triathalon athlete and Iron man finisher. John was a board member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and previous president of Optimist Club. Most importantly, he was a loving father and upstanding member of the community who will be sorely missed by so many.
John was preceded in death by grandparents, Dr. JB. And Maude Anderson and Will and Marjorie Temple. He is survived by his devoted children, Nick Temple and Holly Temple; parents, John and Mary Sue Temple; brother, Steve Temple; sisters, Terri Peters and Susan Foresburg; and other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 17th at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church from 4:00-5:00pm. A Celebration of Life will follow, with Rev. Dr. Clay Harrington officiating.
