John Edward Thomas 80 of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey passed away Wednesday at home with his family by his side. John was born in Dearborn Michigan before moving to New Jersey. John was a fireman for West Keansburg  NJ for 8 years. He had a passion for working and rebuilding cars with his son Michael.  Summers were spent enjoying going out on the party boats in Sea Isle City. Spending time with his family and grand-kids always put a smile on his face and filled his heart with so much love. He loved helping others and would stop what he was doing to do so,  John could do anything he set his mind to. John loved his fur babies Siberian Huskies Kayla and Chance. 

John is survived by his beloved wife Diane Thomas of Little Egg Harbor. Together they loved going to the Casinos and eating at the restaurants. They loved going to the Swap Meets, Flea Markets, and he loved watching his wife race on the race track.  Diane was the love of his life and as long as they were side by side he was full of love happiness.

He also leaves behind His son Michael Andrew Turanicza and wife Christina of Little Egg Harbor New Jersey, Daughter Lisa Athas and husband Christopher of Pleasantville, New Jersey, Daughter Tina Reed and husband Darren of Salem County, Son John Thomas of Pleasantville, his sister Mary Thomas of Pennsylvania, his best friends Al Caporasao, and Marty Kuhns, Grand-kids Samantha and husband Jeremy, Dennis and his wife Sarah, Christopher Jr. Diana, Mackenzie, Brandon, Abby, Gabby, Arren, Kira, Emma, Taylor, and Michaela and Great-grandkids Landon, Peyton, Sky, Prince, Jeremy Jr.

Cremation will be private and a celebration of life will be held for close family and friends in the Summer of 2024
