John L. Tice – Age 93 of Nashville, TN. February 22, 2023.
John was a Christian family man, a loving husband and father, and a member at Woodson Chapel Church of Christ. He worked 30 years in communications at Western Electric. John enjoyed woodworking, music, yardwork, fishing, bluegrass festivals, and "picking and grinning" with friends. He was supportive of Fran's time and efforts to care for her mother. For 7 years, he and Fran patiently and regularly helped his sister Lillian. John crafted beautiful furniture and 24 violins. While his health allowed, he volunteered at Churches of Christ Disaster Relief.
Preceded in death by sister, H. Eva Collins; and brothers, Edward Lyell and Earl J. Tice. Survived by wife, Mary Frances "Fran" Tice; daughters, Patricia Ann "Patty" (J. C.) Short and Cheryl Jean "Jeannie" (Blair) White; grandchildren, Jana L. Burka and John A. "Jack" Robinson; sisters, Lillian J. Thompson and A. Willene Litton; and several loving nieces and nephews.
