John C. Tighe

John C. Tighe, 91 of Prospect Park, PA passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at the age of 91. He was reunited with his wife Jane on the 11th anniversary of her passing.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa he was the son of the late John and Blanche Tighe. He graduated from Bartram High School and soon after enlisted in the Navy. He met and married his wife, Jane, and they moved to Prospect Park, Pa. He worked for TWA as an airline mechanic. He loved to travel with his family, going to the cottage and his family dogs and cat. He could be seen watching Tom and Barb's swim meets from afar in the breezeway at Prospect Park Swim Club.

Survivors: His son Tom and daughter Barbara (Rich), grandchildren Kiersten, Logan, Gage and Adam as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, October 15, 2025, Funeral Service 11:00 at the Griffith Funeral Chapel. 520 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA. Visitation from 10-11 at the Griffith Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Arlington Cemetery Drexel Hill
