John R. Tironi

WATERFORD John R. Tironi, 79, of Fulton St. passed away Tuesday February 25, 2025 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy he was the son of the late Frank and Lillian Graziane Tironi. He was a graduate of Waterford Halfmoon High School.
John was a lifelong auctioneer in the area and was a veteran of the US Army.
He was a man of great faith. He was an animal lover and a collector of many things, including antiques, glassware, coins and baseball cards.
John was the husband of the late Anna Weliska Tironi. He is survived by his long-time companion Shelli Crogan and his children, Annette Byrnes of Waterford, Nicole Neary (Brian) of Schaghticoke, his step children Peter Charbonneau (Connie) of Rotterdam, Lisa LaForest (Paul) of Waterford and Paul Charbonneau (Vicki) of Clifton Park. He is the brother of Frank Tironi Sr. and Madeline Payette of Halfmoon, the late Cliff and Carl Tironi. He is the proud grandfather of Blaine, Zoe, and Demarest Neary, Mikaela, and Madalyn Byrnes and the late Ian Byrnes. 2 great grandchildren and several step grandchildren also survive. He is also survived by his canine companions Bonnie B and Ruby, his feline companion Boots and is predeceased by his canine companion HollyBerry.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at 10 am at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., (Rte. 32), Waterford. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday March 4, 2025 from 4-7 pm.
