John T. "Johnny T." "Little Joe" Trochinski Sr., age 77, of Redgranite, formerly of Poy Sippi, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Preston Place in Redgranite.
He was born January 14, 1948, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Arthur Rieck and Lucille Trochinski. John was a 1966 graduate of Berlin High School.
John was a forklift operator and truck driver, working for Corky Werch/Hoppa/Dick Sobieski Trucking for 20 years, Milsco in Redgranite for 16 years, Ripon Pickle Co., McQuay Perfex Berlin Foundry and Brisky Heating & Cooling. He sold Avon on the side for many years. After retirement, he enjoyed going to local cafes and coffee clutches with his friends. John enjoyed gardening, fishing, canning, riding his motorcycle, polka music and deer hunting with his daughter. He loved animals, especially Jasper the donkey, Jessy the dog and Pee Wee the house cat. He raised captive wildlife-fox, coon and squirrels, and earned lots of trophies from WI Bird & Game Show in FDL. John was a member of Poy Sippi Community Betterment Foundation and past member of Poy Sippi Lions Club.
He is survived by his son, John Trochinski Jr.; daughter, Jackie (Dan) Mulvey; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Disterhaft; and best friend, Ron Strebelinski. John was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessica Rae, granddaughter, Dannah Mulvey; infant sister, Barbara Ann; brother-in-law, David Disterhaft; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Parish in Berlin. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monsignor James L. Gunn officiating. The family requests everyone wear his favorite color, purple. Interment will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Berlin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
