John Todd Ungerank, of Sherwood, departed this life on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the age of 60.
John was born on October 14, 1965, in Pocahontas to the late Frank Ungerank and Margaret Cherry Ungerank. John earned a degree in Business and Management from the University of Central Arkansas in 1989 where he also was a founding member of the Arkansas Zeta chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon. John spent more than 20 years working for FIC Financial Technology.
John found his greatest joy in life’s simple pleasures—time spent at the lake, watching beautiful sunsets, and sharing meaningful moments with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Ungerank, and his aunt, Shirley Crawford.
He is survived by his brother, David (Shelley) Ungerank; nephew, Ryan (Cassie) Ungerank; niece, Randi (Christopher) Dirnberger; great-nieces and great-nephews, Gracie and Charlie Dirnberger, and Emma, Beck, and Lane Ungerank; cousins, Cherry and Roy Sanders, Jacqueline Jones and Andrew Burrow, Cynthia (Joe) Crowson; aunts and uncles, Phyllis (Larry) Burrow, Jackie Crawford, Joyce (Tom) Schmidt, and Bernadette Ungerank; along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026, with Roger Hovis officiating, also in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Nelson Cemetery at Reyno.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Roy Sanders, Jared Keen, Ryan Ungerank, Christopher Dirnberger, Jimmy Cole, and Nick Wren.
Honorary pallbearers are Andrew Burrow and Joe Crowson.
