Johnny was born March 8, 1943 to Carl Edward Vestal and Ruth Laverne (Mitchell) Vestal in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from Electra High school in 1961. Johnny joined the United States Army in 1964 where he was a sergeant and a medic during the Vietnam War. On January 7,1967 he married the love of his life Helen Gentry in Electra,Texas.
Johnny was an avid motorcycle rider his entire life. He and Helen enjoyed traveling all over the world and t o many motorcycle rallies with family and friends. He also enjoyed the lake house where they spent many family holidays and gatherings.
Johnny will be greatly missed by many. He is survived by his two sons. Chris Vestal and Darrell Vestal both of Holliday, Texas. One grandson Dauson Vestal and wife Naomi of Electra Texas, and three great- grandchildren Jaxon, Jameson, and Evie Vestal all of Electra, Texas. A brother Mark Vestal and wife Sheila of Garden Ridge, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, parents Carl & Laverne Vestal, and sister Lillie Daily.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. The family suggests any memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4400 Cypress Street, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.

Uncle Johnny was always my favorite uncle. I loved his deep guttural laugh, his big smile and he also had a cool bike parked outside :) I never heard him say a bad word about anyone and I always knew whatever he said was meant in good spirits.
