John Barry Villar, a resident of French Settlement, passed away April 24th, 2024, at the age of 54. He was born October 11th, 1969, in Baton Rouge.
John loved spending time with his friends and family. He loved his church family at Victory Temple. John enjoyed working at the Arc of East Ascension and enjoyed Special Tuesday every summer. Most of all John loved Jesus.
John is survived by his mother, Inez Villar; sisters, Angie Wade, Sonya Martin and husband, Keith Martin, and Keri Sims and husband, Casey Sims; brother, Ricky Villar; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Barry Villar.
Visitation will be Monday, April 29th, 2024, at Ascension Funeral Home, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. James May. The burial will follow at Galvez Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
