John Harrison Walker, Jr., 52, of Franksville, Alabama, was affectionately was affectionately known as "Stud." John was born February 26, 1972, in State Line, MS, to the late John Harris Walker, Sr. and Lenora Walker. John joined Mt. Zion United Methodist Church at an early age where he was a member of the choir. After moving to Alabama, John became a member of Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Franksville, AL, where he remained faithful until his passing.
During John's time here on earth, he never met a stranger, would help anyone in need, and lived his life with joy and a smile. He made it his life's mission to put a smile on the faces of those he came in contact with.
John leaves to cherish his memories daughters: LaToya Franks, Kayla Franks, and Jalissa Franks of State Line, MS, Armani Osborne of Silas, AL., and sons Keanu Franks of Hattiesburg. MS, and Chad McSwain of Killeen, Texas, a loving and devoted companion Ella Abston of Franksvile, AL, 6 brothers: Anthony (Sandy) Walker, State Line, MS., Calvin (Erica) Walker, Chatora, AL, Nelson (Val) Walker, Meridian, Ms., Kelvin (Desheena) Walker, Mahobi, MS., Bobby Walker, and DeWayne (Melissa) Walker, of State Line, MS; 3 sisters: Aretha (Gerald) Walker, Melissa (Jerry) Turner of State Line, MS., and Tiffany (Bernard) Walker, Waynesboro, MS. 14 grandchildren, aunts Mary Jane Owens of Buckatunna, MS., Carolyn (Oscar) Leverette of State Line, MS,, Mary (PD) Barlow and Floris (Melvin) Davis of Buckatunna, MS, uncles Raymond (Arrie Nell) Walker and Terry Simpson, of State Line, MS, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in State Line, MS, with Pastor Carolyn Walker Leverette as the officiant. Interment will follow at State Line Cemetery.
