John Raymond Walker, 72, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
Born on October 18, 1952 in Trenton, NJ, John went on to graduate from Central Dauphin High School and The Pennsylvania State University. His career as a skilled and reliable handyman allowed him to help others through his work, lending a hand where it was needed most.
John was known for his laid-back nature, sharp wit, and his ability to find enjoyment in anything. He most enjoyed golfing, playing poker, shooting billiards, trivia nights, and going to the movies. He will be especially remembered for his musical inclinations; as a songwriter, he wrote inspiring lyrics and performed accompanying melodies on the guitar, one of his greatest talents.
John cherished spending time with his family and friends, livening holiday dinners with his humor and finding the fun in any activity that was presented to him. He will be remembered for his generous heart and the joy he found in the company of others.
John leaves behind his daughter, Christina (Jack) L. Keim, his granddaughter, Emily L. Keim, and his brother, Dr. Glenn A. Walker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Philip J. Walker, his mother, Helen S. Walker, and his sister, Joyce B. Walker.
A visitation will be held at Word of Grace Ministries, 3814 N Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA, 17110, on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m.
