John L. Waller

John L. "Red" Waller, age 80, of Orrville, formerly of Sawyerville, AL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
John was born on September 27, 1944, in Sawyerville, Alabama, to the late L.T. Waller Sr. and Earnestine (Woods) Waller. He married Barbara McDonald, on July 23, 1965, in Orrville.
John dedicated 42 years of his life as a Core Maker at Quality Castings. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Orrville. John was known for his skills as a handyman, self-taught barber, and his love for fixing things. He was a passionate sports fan, always cheering for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Browns, and Indians. He also enjoyed bowling with the Quality Castings team. Most of all he cherished time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by his children, John Vincent (Liza) Waller, Steven Lamont (Terri) Waller, and Stacey Evonne (Mark) Wolf; ten grandchildren, Ashley (Skylar), Avery, Amare, Nichole, Marcus (Maira), April, Jesse, Eppi, Antwan, and Shamaya; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Rita), Edd (Linda), George (LaShawn), Kennedy (Kim), CJ, and Bobby; sisters, Juanita, Lula B, Pearline, Sarah (Willie), Odessa, and Ora Nell; brothers-in-law, Earl, Kirby (Judy), and Darrell (Alicia); sisters-in-law, Ira Mae and Peggy W., Jacqueline, Peggy M.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Magdeline Bryant; and four siblings, Voncile, L.T. Waller, Jr., Ethel, and Jonah; and brother-in-law, Saul.
Family and friends may call on March 29, 2025, at True Church House of Prayer, 737 Buckeye Street, Orrville, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Johnny Bevins with Pastor Nathan Poole eulogizing. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
