John Patrick "Jack" Walsh

John "Jack" Walsh was born on May 17, 1927, in Manhattan's West Village. He passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and dedicated service to his community.
Jack proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, with deployments to Hawaii and Japan. His military service reflected the same dedication and integrity that would define his entire life. Following his honorable discharge, Jack continued his commitment to public services as a beat cop with the New York City Police Department, where his compassion and steadfast presence touched countless lives throughout the community.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn (nee O'Keefe) whom he married on October 5, 1957, sharing 68 wonderful years together. He was a devoted father to five children: Kevin, John, Kathryn, Patrick and Bryan, and a cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren. Jack will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering dedication to family, and his lifelong commitment to serving others. He leaves behind a loving family and countless friends who will forever treasure his memory.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 2pm to 6pm and on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 66 Lacey Road, Manchester, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 10:45am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton RC Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd, Manchester, NJ. Interment will follow to the B.G.
