John William Watson Jr., of Burleson, TX. passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
John was born on May 5, 1940, to John Watson and Bernice Slinglend in Clare, Michigan. He married Laquita Joye Smith on October 12, 1978 in Fort Worth, TX. John lived in Mansfield for serval years before moving to Burleson and owned and operated Village Creek Liquare for 10 years and then worked for Walmart for 17 years before retiring. He loved woodworking, restoring furniture and leathercrafts.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Laquita Watson; mother and stepfather, Bernice and Bob Merritt; father, John Watson; son, Doug Clark; son in law Rico Gonzales.
Survivors: Daughters, Joye Alapic and spouse Brian Bradley, Marilyn Gonzales and spouse Matt Thomas; sons, Bob Clark and spouse Paige, John W. Waston IV and spouse Gina; grandchildren, Wayne Alapic and spouse Janie, Wanda Young, Dennis Taylor and spouse Darrah Jockers, William Clark and spouse Andrea, Jessica Clark and spouse Jason, Michael Taylor, Kattie McKinney and spouse Billy, Courtney Patton and spouse Michael, Racheal Cousatte and spouse Dustin, Heather Hays and spouse Randall, Chrystina Watson, Bret Watson, Liam Burnett, Sean and Conner Eldridge, and Bella Crane; great grandchildren, Leeah, Drew, Justice, James, Rob, Mackenzie, Austin, Avery, Ember, River, Jaxson, Grayson, Kendall, Kylie, Bailey, Abigale, Hudson, Hayden, Brookley, Taylor, Cameron, Kelsey, Layden, Ethan, Killian, Jentzen, Dexten, Logan, Daniel, Axle, Cade, Wyatt, Cameron, Seth, and Hanna; great great grandchildren, Sutton, Tuston, Brixton, Kadin, Devyn and Aaron; other family and friends, David and Brianna Camarillo, James and Linda Bushong; sister in laws, Gail Pospisil, and Lesie Siegler; brother in law, Jerry Smith.
