John White

John Abe White Jr, age 59 passed away peacefully June 12, 2025 surrounded by his family at home in Salmon, Idaho.
John was born July 12, 1965 in Salmon, Idaho to John Abe and Karon Rae (Foster) white. He lived in Cobalt, Idaho for a short time, moved to Salmon, and then moved to Gunnison, Colorado. He attended and graduated from Gunnison High School in 1983. He achieved numerous medals and trophies during high school for wrestling. John then moved back to Salmon to spend the summer with his mother before leaving to join the Marines. During that summer he broke his elbow so he was unable to join the Marines. He also met Charolette Ann (Hayes) White, during that time.
John and Charolette have three children John Abe White the 3rd, Samantha Elizabeth (White) McHan, and Heather Lillian White. During their time together, John worked at Salmon Valley Cheese, Q.B. Corporation, and in Alaska on the fishing boats. He liked to go fishing, hunting, playing darts and was on the pool league. John like to try new things, and was never afraid to stand his ground. More than once if someone did not leave him alone, he would say "you look like you're tired, so I'm going to put you to bed."
Eventually John and Charolette divorced. After that John started a life with Camilla Ann Goodwin. They left Salmon together and moved to several different states, before returning back to Salmon where they continued to build a happy life together until his date of passing.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mary White of Colorado. His father John White and mother Karon (Foster) Robbins and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his three children; John (Brittani) White, of Salmon, Samantha (Drue) McHan of Twin Falls, Idaho and Heather White of Twin Falls, Idaho. Grandchildren; Laila White, Therynn White, Paityn White, John White, Von White and Bjorn McHan, his long-term partner Camilla Goodwin, Richard Turner, Sarah Turner and numerous grandchildren and a great grandson.
John is also survived by is sister Kerrie White and one niece, Josephine Yahraes; along with many friends in the community.
